THE COUNCIL'S MISSION
 
  • Strengthen co-operation between Hong Kong and Shanghai, taking advantage of the two cities' competitive strength and complementarity to advance the development of the Yangtze region.
  • Create a superior investment environment for the Yangtze economic region.
  • Perform a bridging role to facilitate investment by Mainland, Hong Kong and overseas enterprises in the Yangtze economic region.
 
 

The Executive Vice-President of the Council, Mr Jiang Guang Yu, is the Vice President of Shanghai Jin Jiang Internation Hotel (Group) Company Limited.

Mr Vincent Hong Sui LO, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Shui On Group (which he founded in 1971), is President of the BPF and of the Yangtze Council.

The Executive Vice-President of the Council, Mr Jiang Guang Yu, is the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Chief of its Co-operation Office.

Some of the leading business personalities of Shanghai and Hong Kong have committed themselves to serve as Council Members.
